ELL was founded in 2013 and has been operational since 2014 – the first locomotive was delivered in June 2014 and leased out immediately. Our owners are AXA and Predica/Crédit Agricole, and Christian Kern has been our CEO since September 2022.

Railroad operations are extremely capital-intensive. We currently have branches in Vienna, Gräfelfing near Munich and Poznań in Poland. We have an experienced and professional team that is passionate about making rail the means of transportation of choice. Thanks to our optimized company structure and our lean management, we are quick to react and can respond flexibly to customer and market requirements. As the largest supplier of Siemens Vectron locomotives, we have the most environmentally friendly fleet with state-of-the-art energy efficiency.
